| 1422758 | 2016-07-08 02:38:00 | Hi all, I'm reduced to a state of wonder that, in spite of all my searching for several months, I've not had any luck sourcing floor fans or similar. When I asked, the Warehouse staff just laughed, as did a number of other outfits. Last summer was the hottest I've experienced it in my upstairs living area and I'd like to be ready for next summer. Anyone have some inside info on this? Thanks! |

Can't comment specifically, but assuming you're successful, here's a tip to use the fan/s to their optimum ... place the fan adjacent to an open outside window, and blow the air outside rather than use them as per the norm, i.e. recirculating hot air around the room. Simple as, and it works by drawing in cooler air and setting up a good airflow on the way to venting outside. :) |

You struggle to buy summer clothes in winter too. And Wal is right about blowing hot air out of the window rather than trying to blow air in! | John H (8)

I appreciate your tips about blowing hot air out, although I noticed last summer that often indoor temperatures were not that different to outdoors. | braindead (1685)
