1423383 2016-07-22 03:52:00 Yeah I may have gone a little overboard with that last post.

Get either, they'll be fine. One is more powerful, one is easier to use and has a spare battery, personal preference really.

I spend a bit more and am collecting the one drive tools, batteries and chargers are expensive but the tools are not too bad. Not up to Makita standards but good enough for me.For putting in screws I have a impact driver that just has the hex fitting instead of a drill chuck. It's awesome but a bit too specialised and powerful for general purpose use. Managed to screw the head right off a couple of long screws with it.

1423384 2016-07-22 15:51:00 I had a Bosch that knew no stopping and would sink and then twist off a screw head so fast you couldn't control it. It wasn't operator's error....at least not so much that I'd admit it anyway. It couldn't have been.

I'm truly sorry that Milwaukee Tools are so dear in Upsidedown Land as they are delightful to own, use and stare at.

Hey... how's about Porter Cable? Or Fein?

I know Mr. Fein personally. They build many of the armatures and fields for a lot of other badges.

1423385 2016-07-22 16:00:00 ..... and yeah. This has become a snowball that rolled and doing so gathered a few layers, all right!

But wasn't the journey fun! And we learned sumpthin about electrical laws and physics along the way, not to mention some history on battery evolution.

Youse guys are the best.

1423386 2016-07-22 17:28:00 I got the special, similar to the Ryobi ONE they are selling now - the drill and the high speed drill thing (Impact driver) - I think it was around December. 2 18V batteries, I think the Lithium type. Got it for about $150. The nice thing - very fast charging batteries, but I've yet to charge the batteries, they just go and go. I am so happy with it. Haven't used the impact driver yet. I also like the carry bag - now I don't have to search for the drill, I just look for the green bag.

1423388 2016-07-22 22:49:00 It's all power tools now, for everybody. Who still has a brace and bit, or a Yankee screwdriver or drill in their tool kit? Richard (739)

I have some cordless Birmingham ( or Brummagem if you like)) screwdrivers hanging on the tool board, they'll never make those as power tools :banana :clap
