| 1425850 | 2016-09-14 06:19:00 | You said the issue now you have removed your Caller ID box is only occurring when your Sons PC was on, but when it's shut down the issue doesn't occur? Perhaps some additional isolation may be a wise idea then.If its only happening with the sons Computer on theres a real simple way to track down the real cause. Disconnect the computer - plug in another -- Does the problem still Occur ? If Yes then there's some sort of problem in the wiring or some device that's failing. IF NO then there's something wrong with the sons PC, could be hardware related, could be some sort of software causing the problem. If its the PC then at least the faulting PC is discovered then its find what's causing it. One real ripper of an example -- Customers PC a while back , would bring their whole internet speed and LAN to a crawl (didn't cut it completely) Tracked the problem down to pirated program of Office with a Auto KMS generator -- Opened the network connections and wholly sh1t over 60 fake Ethernet connections  |

| 1425852 | 2016-09-14 15:06:00 | Contractor messes, well that's a valid concern. I didn't have any issues for my connection though. I got fibre, picked the 100/20 plan for the same price as my old unlimited VDSL plan just because 30/10 fibre would not have been any faster and for the price difference I'd rather have the extra speed. I was happy with my VDSL but upgraded anyway, taking advantage of the free install offer while it's around. It sorta is, but given Chorus insure each connection done to the tune of $500,000, shy of the contractor burning your whole entire house down, if they do any damage then they'll come back and fix it and get it set right. |

It didn't matter what: mine, his, granddaughters tablet, his phone. It's cured now. Why? Dunno, I'm saying it's the caller ID even though there were a couple of issues after that. Or it resolved elsewhere.... Anyway shiny new bits in the house now, phone, ethernet cables, modems.... |
