1423179 2016-07-17 20:55:00 I recently read an account of a Boeing being intentionally flown inverted (passengers were on board) when the pitch control system froze and was diving the plane. It was a last-ditch attempt to fly to safety, but the situation worsened and it flew into the ocean with the loss of all lives aboard. Maintenance had failed to lubricate part of the tail control systems.

Struth, I didn’t realise the manoeuvre had ever been attempted in Real time, I just accepted the claim came from Pilots pushing the boundaries in Flight Simulators.

I just hope I never get to experience the manoeuvre in Real Time.
