2016-07-24 07:47:00 | I would like to thank all the businesses around Central Park and Span farm for putting out pallets out front for me to collect and turn into firewood. | prefect (6291) | |
2016-07-24 07:58:00 | Been cold last few days in South Auckland. but sometimes I think stuff turning on gas, convection, bar, heaters/fire place etc. Just double up on clothing and throw on a small crochet blanket. Prefer to freeze a bit than get too warm... | kahawai chaser (3545) | |

2016-07-24 18:16:00 | Are the penguins migrating north yet? That must be a sight to see 10's of thousands of them flapping non-aerial wing/arms and 300 abreast . . . . afoot . . . . . . marching through backyards, over highway and footpath to their warm northern vacation land . Just seems inherently wrong to go north to get warm though . Sheeeeesh! Youse guys are all akimbo!

2016-07-24 20:37:00 | Cold is relative. Husband grew up in King Country, ran around in snow and frosts happily. Nowdays Auckland winter is too cold for him. Have to say, it has been warm the last few days - usually is when it's wet, but there was a cold wind.

Have to say, it has been warm the last few days - usually is when it's wet, but there was a cold wind. Humidity makes a BIG difference. a lot of the snow areas are also quite dry or low humidity. being wet and cold is far worse. its like an auckland heat wave of a mere 32c. south island gets more than that every year. |

2016-07-25 03:29:00 | Warm and toasty here inside in Napier, though I have to worry about the power bill for the heat pump at the next one. Outside... not too shabby today. | Greg (193) | |
