1422850 2016-07-09 04:20:00 Neat creative skills. Wish I could do something similar - I mean I have a ton of automotive tools and some engineering tools, but no real carpentry/wood working tools. I got rid of my old school saws, planes, sash clamps, w/w vice, wood mallet, etc years ago. Should have kept them maybe. Always been a fixer but never a creator of objects. I use to keenly watch custom fishing lures being made nearby where I worked in Penrose, Auckland.

Use to help an uncle who could quickly whip up a premo wooden barbecue table, trestles, small shed, or work bench, etc. Never too late I guess to create... As for guitars, would it be harder to make a twin head or even five head instruments, as seen with Rick Nielsen? (goo.gl)

1422852 2016-07-10 00:25:00 Multi-Multi-neck guitars would be a challenge I feel since just setting one neck is somewhat daunting in pocket depth, length of scale and octal reference points being so critical . That's just for bolt on necks, as thru-necks get even iff-ier .

This is my first of five neck-through basses that are on order from me for delivery before a year lapses . I've got twelve months to produce all four after this one in an assembly line fashion where I build the pieces for all of them - plus one more - and assemble them all at the same time .

I can carve the necks in about two hours each after I get the dimensions figured out and then fret, trim, bind if necessary and l lastly clear lacquer them .

The 'bouts' however are both tougher and easier in certain aspects with 'the horns' requiring serious hand finishing . The bouts will usually take a few hours longer than the necks and I know that's not obvious - but believe me they are tough to produce . This is all in attempting to stay in the Fender as
