1422464 2016-06-28 21:45:00 OOPS -- Someone at Microsoft jumped the gun :D

"Microsoft announces Windows 10 Anniversary Update available Aug. 2," and then pulled the story moments later.

windows-10-anniversary-update-release-date-leaked-august-2nd (www.theverge.com) The internet will come to a slow down again, more work ( that's not a bad thing) as upgrades don't go quite right ;)

1422467 2016-06-28 22:38:00 29 July ? Yep, any time after that people will have missed the free upgrade offer. wainuitech (129)
1422468 2016-06-30 11:40:00 I see that the August 2 date is now official (June Insider)

There will be a large number of people who have been waiting for the Anniversary Update to upgrade to W10. I'm one of them. I wonder why Microsoft are waiting for the July 29 date to go by?

1422469 2016-06-30 12:00:00 Even from a starting point of Win ME, it is difficult to see Win 10% as being anything but a downgrade. R2x1 (4628)

Could be international date lines, as well as 29th July is a Friday - did read someplace not a good day to push it out.

The Upgrade to the Anniversary edition -- you HAVE to have the current Windows 10 installed already Before that OR at least had W10 on the PC at some stage so the motherboard is Activated with microsoft. If a person doesn't then they wont get the free upgrade to the redstone edition, it will be to late. Its the same version that is already ( and has been for some time) on the insider program, just ironing out some of the minor bugs.

1422472 2016-06-30 21:37:00 Even from a starting point of Win ME, it is difficult to see Win 10% as being anything but a downgrade. Well, another 28 more days and you wont need to worry about it. Assuming you're not using W10 already, after the 29th it wont be free to change, you'll have to pay for it if you wish to change your system, and the get W10 Nag will disappear shortly around the same time.. wainuitech (129)
