By the year 2031 , will the chinese be the only country able to afford a space station ?
Any US replacement will be bogged down by US politicians changing requirements & budget every 4 years .
Perhaps we'll see smaller , privately owned space stations ?

And will NASA be building anything by 2021.
Look at the financial disaster their new large rocket & crewed capsule have been. Still not ready after so many years .
Private companies have overtaken NASA in rocketry & manned space travel .

The question needs to be asked , what did the space station ACTUALLY achieve. Beggar all, no major scientific breakthroughs from the ISS .

The video is interesting.

They have been saying that since the 80's . :)
Wont happen.
The SLS is bogged down by huuuuge cost overuns & political interference.
1 disaster & it will all be canned . Going to the moon & mars is simply too risky . A solar flare will fry any astronauts on the way there

The SLS is simply too expensive to use , as private companies are making re-usuable systems .

Nasa only went to the moon to 1 up the Russians .
When China gets a base on the Moon, then USA will act , pull finger & go back to the moon.

1485113 2022-03-24 07:53:00 Well, if governments can't afford a space station, then Elon and SpaceX will show them up with one of their own soon enough.
They've already done the hard part, making a reusable docking vehicle. Building modules for it to dock to will be childs play by comparison.
