| 1484853 | 2022-03-10 19:22:00 | ....... That the govt are now saying that they may look at reducing the tax on fuel? Straight after a political poll is released showing a considerable swing to the opposition party? Or, am I being cynical again? Ken ;) |

| 1484854 | 2022-03-10 20:50:00 | According to what I am reading the price of a barrel of oil is already coming down due to UAE adding to the overall supply, wonder how long it will take for our instantly raising prices petrol suppliers to put their prices down again, another market that needs severe regulation from the government. | zqwerty (97) | ||

Just been an announcement (10am) on steam radio that Waitomo are advising customers to fill up now as prices may only be able to be held till tonight. Ken |

The Labour Party is driven by polls! Ken |

| 1484859 | 2022-03-10 23:40:00 | I wouldn't like to be any party in Power at the moment. Wouldn't matter what you do it will never be the right thing by everyone. With this Covid being handled the way it Was /Is, NZ is a LOT better off than other countries, BUT of course there's a price to pay for doing it. The National Party ages ago wanted everything handled different, and if it was their way, god knows how NZ would be. Regarding National and changing their leader, getting rid of Collins and putting in Luxon - yeah may have been a good move for them, BUT its easy to throw crap and say I'd do this that or the other when you cant actually do it. Hes said he would undo Labors tax actions if he were PM -- Well its on record and recorded, any bets he would either do sweet FA or so minor its not worth doing ?? Here's something to think about: ------ Luxon may look good for National on the outside, being a business man and former CEO of Air NZ, BUT may sound good, Seems a bit of follow what the USA did, Trump = Business Man - And when the sh1t really hit the fan look what happened. :D |

Ken And only a day or two after Grant Robertson emphatically stated he would not adjust / intercede in the price of petrol, either  |

| 1484861 | 2022-03-11 02:39:00 | Petrol prices never made any sense to me anyway, the petrol in the tanks in the ground has already cost whatever it cost surely and yet the price will go up and down while it's still the same fuel being sold. | dugimodo (138) | ||
| 1484862 | 2022-03-11 03:53:00 | Yes "The Free Market" and "Privatization" has been an abject failure for the common people, we should go back to Nationalization of all essential services like fuel and supermarkets, the resulting drop in efficiencies, if that does happen, will never cost as much as the profiteering by private organizations does now. Forgot to add in electricity suppliers. |
