1484698 2022-03-02 19:55:00 OK, no one else wants to say it, so I will.

It is good the protesters have been moved on. Where as the original protesters probably had their own good reasons, I think it was taken over by a bunch of Rent a Mob idiots. These were the ones who were causing most of the problems yesterday. Quite stupid of them. They were just there for the bash!

Thank you, our Police force. You did a good job and you have my support. Also, the Fire Brigade, good job.

Stupid politicians. Notice I gave the Police the honour of a capital P. But not the politicians. They have been pretty useless in all of this. Especially the pie minister!

Just my thoughts?

Ken

1484699 2022-03-02 20:07:00 I'm over the mask wearing...we're vaccinated! Mostly. Still wearing one when I have to.
However I utterly disagree with the loonies gathered there...........all this rubbish about well, take your pick, the drivel they came up with.

And that's what they were, a mostly bunch of mentally unwell people, the I'll join any protest people, and the usual stirrers adding to it all. I feel sorry for the kids dragged along........

About time the cops stepped in.

1484700 2022-03-02 20:55:00 Should have happened 2 weeks ago when the cops moved in, and then...nothing. I still don't understand that. It's like Cuddles was ready to move and got held back.

Probably told to Be Kind.

The cancer then grew and got harder and messier to remove.

Have hugely enjoyed weatching it on livestream, been impressive watching the cops in action and how they work in situations like that. If I wasn't too old and fat I'd be tempted to join up.

1484701 2022-03-02 20:58:00 a mostly bunch of mentally unwell people,

paranoia is a mental illness.
Thinking things are a conspiracy is literally paranoia .

They would have had more public support if they only stayed 2 days , then went home .
I guess it devolved into a bunch of anarchists who just wanted to rally against the govt & the police .

Probably one of those things that is more fun to watch than actually participate in.
I'd hate being a cop...street cop anyway...dealing with drunks, violent ********s in domestic violence calls and gangs. Ugh.

1484703 2022-03-02 22:24:00 Yeah I'd have issues standing there mute while some useless toerag bludger that's never contributed a day in their miserable waste of a life shouts abuse at me. allblack (6574)
1484704 2022-03-02 23:21:00 I thought it was typical that protesters in Wellington said “media are not allowed to come here as they’re not reporting what’s really going on” and then proceeded to cover the camera of a reporter while people threw things on a fire at parliament.

Auckland Mayor Phil Goff says council has trespass orders "ready to go" as Auckland Domain remains closed to vehicles due to a small number of protesters refusing to leave.

Mayor Goff told Morning Report everyone had a right to protest, but he hoped this was not a repeat of Wellington's protest.

"What I absolutely oppose is a sense of entitlement and self-given right to disrupt others' lives when people want to make their point. We've seen that at Parliament, we don't want to see it in Auckland," he said.

"People say, 'Why don't you talk to the protesters? Why don't you negotiate with them?' How do you negotiate with people in bad faith, who agree one thing and then immediately dishonour their promise.

"These are people that we know from a range of other protests around the city ... they are not entitled to camp on the domain, they are not entitled to disrupt the lives of others as they are doing."

1484705 2022-03-03 03:52:00 They've gone now from the Auckland Domain. Must have seen the light!

Well as you should know, that doesn't necessarily stop you getting infected, often just milder symptoms. Although some people still get it pretty bad. So masks are probably still a good idea for now, especially with the current state of the Omicron version.

1484707 2022-03-03 06:50:00 Well it could heat up around here. There are a whole heap of protesters from Wellington gathering In Wainui, Theres several saying they are going to try and storm the local Marae as its also a vaccine centre .

Theres one HUGE problem for THEM. The locals in Wainui wont stand for it, there's been MANY people on a local facebook already organizing to get together to stop them.

Some roads are blocked off, forget the police - as one guy posted a video, all very calm, calling all the league boys to come help support he community Marae, and as he said near the end, "Dont come down here and disrespect our Marea, because if you do -- It wont end well"

The tone of his voice, calm, and chilling, but they have been warned. They picked the wrong place to try that sh1t !!!

Apparently its on the news as well.
