| 1482863 | 2021-12-13 06:47:00 | I know this probably a silly query, and very vague. My wife has an iPad, which is about 10 years old we think. As far as I know the OS is the original (iOS 8.1). The machine told her that the OS needed to be up dated, and wanted her password, apparently for the gmail account. I don't know what she has done, but she can't get into it with any of the passwords that we usually use. I suspect that she has altered it unwittingly. Where do we go from here?? |

Apple while it might use the gmail address, the password is independent . So it might be something else . You can get it reset but it might be a slow process through the apple password reset process and security questions/checks |
