1482762 2021-12-10 04:11:00 Many thanks wainui and piroska for your recommendations for Nod32 in the 29 August thread. I read some carefully selected reviews online
but then thought I would check with PressF1. Malwarebytes had good reports, but as wainui pointed out no coverage of emails. Have therefore
decided on Nod32 (which incidentally I bought more than a decade ago for the same reason, but then AVG free, etc, became so good that I lapsed).

Just gone online to buy Nod32 and was faced with three choices - Essential, Advanced and Ultimate. Eset highlight the Advanced option,
probably because they believe that they will capture the majority of people to this. I do note however that the "Ultimate" has password
management, which is something I also want. The attraction therefore is to have everything together, however would I be better having
a different Password Manager?

Am looking to have coverage for both a desktop and a laptop. Two years seems an attractive option?

Your guidance will be invaluable as always!

1482765 2021-12-10 20:01:00 To carry on (I was in a bit of a rush late night) Internet Security has everything except the Password Manager & Secure Data ( can as the ! says "Encrypt files and removable media, such as USB keys")

I do note however that the "Ultimate" has password management, which is something I also want. The attraction therefore is to have everything together, however would I be better having

Personally Cant honestly comment on experiance on that, I dont use that version (I use Endpoint - Business class on my own systems - Basically Internet Security)

I dont trust password managers full stop, I either remember them, or for other web sites use the inbuilt on browsers, except for banks, NEVER save them. Passwords I do have saved elsewhere are basically impossible to hack into - Its a pen and notepad. The only way anyone can get those is to break into the house and steal / read the notebook.

The Most I sell ( as I'm a reseller) is the Antivirus, many people dont want the extra security the Internet Security Offers - I explain the differances and let them decide. Often people only look at the Cost over actions / protection features.

Am looking to have coverage for both a desktop and a laptop. Just remember you'll need a two device licence. Its gets quite a bit cheaper if you need 5 device pack.

1482766 2021-12-10 23:16:00 + 73 for ESET ;-) ... password manager ??? I only ever use 1 and it's my birthday ... nobody knows it but me !! (certain family members please take note) SP8s (7813)
1482767 2021-12-11 03:24:00 I use Smart Security Premium myself... across 4 devices and it gives me ESET Mobile Security for free as well though I don't use it.

I don't currently use the Password Manager but i like the idea of everything being managed in a single tool and as Wainui said, pricing goes down a fair bit with a multi-device license.

That's one thing I do like about ESET (over and above the fact it's a great product) their pricing is very fair and continued renewals do cost less over time.
