Soldiers follow orders as long as they are legal in International law, invading another country is not against international law. Soldiers who mutiny in a war situation should be shot its not open for debate and civilians will never understand. You can refuse to shoot prisoners, or civilians. We were briefed by a hot chick lawyer about rules of engagement in Timor. Basically it boiled down to do what you have to prevent your death or the death of civilians depending on you. Shooting at enemy "dead" is ok in an attack as you dont want them to get up and plaster you when you run past. We were told just give them a round to make sure. We air force were given training by the army on the Hobsonville airfield before we deployed. |

| 1484557 | 2022-02-27 14:12:00 | Not for the first time in history have we seen a deluded egomaniac and his cronies cause a huge amount of hardship and suffering to innocent, peace loving, law abiding people and cause global instability. Somebody needs to take him out but I don't see this happening without a Russian military coup removing him and his close warmongers. He has tight control over his armed forces and others around him but so did the other guy. |
