659677 2008-04-17 02:36:00 Hi all,
I'm currently setting permissions for a shared folder on a server, users should be able to read and write to the folder, it is a type of drop box. When setting permissions i realized that there is a 'modify' permission and i clicked that i don't really know what it does, how does it differ from read write and execute?

659679 2008-04-17 04:06:00 If you have the Modify option ticked then that user/group can move and delete files and/or folders out of the shared folder.
If you don't want them to be able to move or delete files then untick Modify.
