| 659661 | 2008-04-17 02:32:00 | Hey everyone, New to overclocking and stuff. I know these can overclock pretty well (around 3ghz off air). Any step by step guides on how to overclock to say 2.2ghz? I've looked in my ACER bios cpu speed settings and there appears to be no sort of overclocking or fsb settings or anything D=. | CaptainVincent (76) | ||

The CPU will easily reach 3GHz on the stock fan but require some voltage to reach 3.2GHz, but most now seem to have a FSB wall at 380 so 3GHz is as far as you can get anyway. | trinsic (6945) | ||

There is unlikely to be any ram multiplier options so even if there is the ability to increase the FSB the ram will probably top out early around 2.2gig effective CPU speed (ram would be over 900 effective). |
