2005-06-27 11:39:00 | Just finished the quiz & quite pleased with my score. Not much good on the sports segment, but did well in the history/general knowledge because I could actually remember many of the events. So did you youngies do it - and did you feel hard done by in the choice of questions?

2005-06-27 12:03:00 | Ohhh I did terribly in it. only around the 50 mark. Some of those questions on Televisions I had never heard of or had just guessed...

2005-06-27 13:08:00 | As I suspected. Not old enough, huh? (Nice to find something nowadays where it's an advantage to be past the first flush of youth...) Though I guess my "oldies" wasn't a fair description, considering the 3 top scorers in the studio turned out to look late 30s or in their 40s. It was a fun programme for those who like a general knowlege quiz about assorted aspects of our own country. (Still available for a while - forget how long - for anyone who wants to try it online at tvnz.co.nz)

2005-06-27 22:40:00 | So, what was your score, Laura? :) Though I guess my "oldies" wasn't a fair description, considering the 3 top scorers in the studio turned out to look late 30s or in their 40s.The top-scoring online result was 100% by a 27 year-old computer programmer. The top score for the studio panel was 93% by a librarian, surprise surprise. I am nowhere near being an "oldie" myself but actually did much better than I expected to, considering my circumstances, but made some stupid blunders that cost me a few points. The best part was that I beat The Boss who is not only a bit older than me but far more well-read about NZ things than I and therefore should have got a higher score <does a dance around the room>. :p Anyone game to post their scores? *Wonders what Godfather got.*

2005-06-27 22:59:00 | As a genuine "oldie" I scored well above the TV teams with an 86, but my wife and I considered most of the questions a "gift" to the more mature set. I dipped out on a couple of the sporting ones which was a disappointment, but which I could have worked out given a bit more time. All in all, an interesting exercise.... | bazmeister (3216) | |
2005-06-27 23:08:00 | What url for the online test? If this is in reference to the quiz show on TV early last night - I think the panels they select are hopeless - I mean really, who doesn't know what BASIC stands for

2005-06-27 23:14:00 | To take the online test go to this page (tvnz.co.nz) and click on the link there. Forgot to post my score: 74%. Would have been 76% if I hadn't changed a couple of my original answers before being marked. Damn!

2005-06-27 23:45:00 | 85% but I am over 60. Missed a few simple ones by rushing to much. | Arnie (6624) | |
2005-06-28 00:02:00 | Thx Foxy. Just did it and got..... 53 :dogeye: I blame it on the fact that although born here, most of my life's been spent outside NZ
