'er indoors. Good luck down south craigb. Terry has said it all. Windyton is the cultural capital and the Hutt is boringsville but prices are lower and it's an easy drive into 'town.' Used to live in W'ton and loved it but geez those southerlies. Think it's the only place in the world I've been where the rain 'falls' horizontally. :D |

| 368465 | 2005-09-02 06:54:00 | Hello everybody I'm back. Finally got out of the motel and am now renting a house in Petone. Only 800m from work so no traffic worries (going to work anyway. a different matter when trying to get to a job in the morning or late afternoon) and 300m to the train station (even if I don't need to use it). Thanks for all your input previously which is was a great help. Rent was a bit more than we wanted to pay, but in the end, you get what you pay for. Some of the dives we went to see in our imagined price range was a bit depressing. Anyway, the wife is happy so what more can one ask. Cheers Craig. PS. I apologise if I have caused anybody any traffic worries. I am still getting the hang of driving in the big smoke and I would not be surprised if I have cut at least one of you here off while trying to get in the right line on the one-way streets in town, or caused you to wait needlessly at some intersection where I should have planted boot. Overall I find that the drivers here are very courteous. :D |
