659888 2008-04-19 06:25:00 My Microsoft/Razer Habu is awesome, but its strictly right handed people only. Also it is $100 SPARTAN 860 (2618)

but its strictly right handed people only.

I don't get this why is it said that left handed people use a mouse differently, I'm a lefty and use the mouse on the RHS, most of left handed people do.

MS or Logitech is the way to go!

659890 2008-04-19 07:13:00 Google search (or live search) for a habu, and then you will see that left handed people can't use it. Its got a curve on the left side for your thumb, thats why its right handed people only. SPARTAN 860 (2618)

Most of us left handed people use mice with our right hands though.

659892 2008-04-19 07:20:00 well in that case, you're fine, but us gamers need to have quick reactions :P and left handed people have better coordination in your left hand, remember 1 sec of delay can mean death in a game. SPARTAN 860 (2618)

Who said I wasn't a gamer? Got a mouse here that's capable of 1600dpi, it ain't slow and I can still kill heaps of guys butt's, when the net ain't to slow!

659894 2008-04-20 05:15:00 Well, I supposed you trained your right hand so now you aren't right or left handed :)

P.S Razer makes the best mice, so if you are looking for a new one thats for gaming, get one of their mice, they are awesome.

659895 2008-04-20 05:27:00 Yeah I realise that it's just this mouse has been really reliable on a machine that the kids batter the heck out of.

Anyway i'm leaning towards the intellimouse optical (c1com.co.nz) cheapest seems to be about $40 including shipping so I'll probably look at purchasing a couple of other things at the same time

Avoid C1 ShoppingMall unless you want to fight an uphill battle for any RMA claims.

I would agree on that regarding their service, very poor, and I only think one of them speaks any english. They compete solely on price, but not service, and you do have to pay extra for shipping and also extra if you want to pay by credit card, which means that the price you pay is often more expensive than you can get at ascent.co.nz or pp.co.nz, which both offer free shipping.

Also I am right handed, but I use my mouse with my left hand, although I have trained myself to do this, and both right and left feel natural to me.

Logitech corded mice are good, but I find that the wheel on my mice tend to go funny after a while, and they become difficult to turn. I think it has something to do with the oils released from the skin being absorbed by the rubber.

My old logitech mouse's had a scroll wheel; the rubber seemed to slip when scrolled, so the underlying plastic wheel didn't actually turn, I was only turning the rubber wheel around the inner plastic wheel. I'm currently using an MS Intellimouse explorer 3.0A. An oldie but a goodie.
