2005-07-02 12:57:00 | Sir Clive will call a media conference on Monday complete with audio-visual presentation which will piont out a few of the following facts:- The floodlights were all aimed at the Lions eyes and away from the All Blacks The grass was too green and made the Irish players homesick and put them off their game. The name on the ball was different to what Wilkinson was used to and put him off. The All Blacks shirts were reflective and caused Henson to pay too much attention to his reflection checking his hairstyle. All the above were devious All Black plots to disadvantage an obvious superior Lions team

2005-07-02 13:08:00 | You sure did, Greg. Good result. Not so good commentary. I got fed up with the obviously one-sided snide remarks from the TV3 team. Wondered how we'd react to a similar Brit commentary about the All Black's performance..? Hopefully this bunch's remarks didn't go any further than NZ. Otherwise we're all painted with the same biased unsporting brush. There's a lot to be said for using proper sports reporters like Keith Quinn or John MacBeth, rather than former All Blacks. Or didn't it bug anyone else?

But such was the performance from The All Blacks and I don't think any team on the planet would have come close. It was probably the most complete performance I have seen from any AB team in the 30yrs I have been watching them. They dominated in every area of the game and took s..t from no one. Bring on the Ozzies! |

2005-07-02 22:38:00 | WooHoo! Good match, but the announcers were so bad that we were wondering if we could turn them off and just keep the sounds of the game. Some of the comments were utterly stupid, all eyes to mouth stuff bypassing the brain.

2005-07-02 23:24:00 | The radio commentators are far superior - if I'm watching a game live, I prefer to listen to the radio while watching the TV. The TV commentators are AB-focused and IMO 100% lame. But let's not detract from another splendiferous AB vistory! | andrew93 (249) | |
2005-07-03 04:26:00 | As anticipated in WFTWE, a pretty scranny performance by an elumbated bunch of Poms. Outstanding performance by the ABs though, but it'll be hard to maintain that standard for next week. Cheers Billy 8-{)
