| 660618 | 2008-04-20 11:09:00 | Whenever I try to install a new program or an update for an old one, a 'Windows Installer' dialog box appears which reads Another installation is already in progress. Complete that installation before proceeding with this install. Although I have been installing and uninstalling this weekend, I have no idea what this refers to:as far as I'm aware I don't have anything which is only partly installed. Can someone tell me how to find out what's going on - and better still, suggest what I can do about it so that I can complete installing some new programs? A cold reboot doesn't help. Have you applied all your Xp updates, including Windows Installer updates? |
