| 660280 | 2008-04-19 22:35:00 | Is there a place where you can run a test? There is one for using a microphone when you want to use voice with Windows Live Messenger. Cheers, Marnie |

| 660281 | 2008-04-19 23:11:00 | What is the OS, XP or vista, as there is different places to change the mic Settings depending on the OS ?? If its XP double click on the speaker in the task bar, see if the Microphone is there, make sure its not muted or the slider is right down. If its not there, top left click options/properties, scroll down and tick Microphone. Then untick the mute, go back to the options, click advanced controls, locate the microphone, make sure its not muted, click the advanced button in the Microphone column, tick Microphone boost. If its Vista then ---You may find the Mic needs to be boosted, some Mic's cant cut it in Vista - Try this -- click start > Control Panel -> Hardware and Sound -> Sound -> Recording -> Microphone -> Properties -> Custom -> Microphone +20dB Boost. ( or boost) |
