371089 2005-07-10 22:16:00 I started a webpage to send NZ some of the local colour/color (can't help that...it's fun!), in the form of pictures of my city and surrounding areas. I have just started it today as I was coming home from my services, and as I had my digital cam along with me, I figgered "What the hey!", and snapped some shots for youse guys.

There are some shots of a few months and even a few years ago too when I had darker hair........lol :p

Please feel free to surf over and plant a few shots of your selves and towns too..ty.

Here is the MSN webpage I created. (groups.msn.com)

Your workspace looks a little cramped.

A few quick translations -
No, we don't have apothecaries. That's really "olde English." Your druggists were until recently called chemists here. Nowadays they like to be called pharmacists, as they're qualified in pharmacy rather than chemistry.
But I think your drugstores are different from our pharmacies, which sell only medicines & such things as beauty products, bathroom stuff etc. American comics I read as a kid had people going to the drugstore for a milkshake..? No food in ours apart from packaged stuff like weight-loss products.
Your travel trailer is definitely our caravan. I have one just like your pic, though smaller.
What are the trees at your lake - type of beech/birch?
And the variety of palm downtown?
It looks very tropical from Dunedin, where there was thick frost this morning & a maximum temp of 9C in spite of a sunny day.
Your home construction raised such interest (& some envy that we don't have the same option at those prices) it would be good to see more detailed house pix on the website...
