370405 2005-07-08 01:05:00 You can now get your Google toolbar for Firefox on Windows, OSX and Linux from here (http://toolbar.google.com/). vinref (6194)
370406 2005-07-08 01:51:00 Considering all the functions that Firefox currently has, I can't really see any great benefit from having a google toolbar. Firefox already has natively google as a search engine, popup blocker and a quick word search (CTRL-F) function. Some of the other functions are for IE only browsers or if you live in the United States. I see they use the more advanced features to track websites you view to gather statistics, although this can be opted-out of.

Think I will give it a miss. ;)

370407 2005-07-08 06:23:00 The word translator and the page rank display sound very cool though.

I would use the word translator to improve my French and German - just connect to a French or German newspaper (google news is best) and start reading.

The page rank display also sounds good. It may help to work out legit and dependable sites from the crazies.

Edit: Bugger. The translator works the other way around, from English to another language. Ah well.

370408 2005-07-08 06:31:00 I use the Google bar in IE when I want to vote for a site to better its listing on google .

So I gave the firefox bar ago .
1) cant dock it next to another bar, seemed to want to sit underneath the address bar .
2) didnt have the voting buttons :(

I have now deleted it after about 1 minute and 14 seconds trial . Still interested to see how others get on tho .

Looked as if it had a splelnig chkr, may be useful four som butt not me .
