| 369527 | 2005-07-05 04:01:00 | Note: allinurl:.php .nz for nz may highlight 40% of pages in New Zealand end with .php I would like to get a Dedicated server on ISERVE with 70GB or so space for linkcheck.co.nz but its $360.00 a month.... right now i pay $120 a month.... i can cover maybe $60 of the $360, the other $60.00 will go for ASP hosting. Would anyone like to chip in for cheap space? i would be willing to do it on not for profit/charity basis if needed. it would be PHP/MySQL only with iSERVE's console. I am not sure on exact specifics maybe something like 50MB for $15.00 with $15.00 setup... I would be willing to make it not for profit so all the money goes on hosting/linkcheck.co.nz with say extra to the SPCA if people preffered that. I estimated i need a 2835MB database to scan the 8,900,000 million [ballparked] pages in NZ and with a shared iSERVE server it would cost 1000's a month. Digital Builder says: I am thinking of getting my own server Digital Builder says: with 70GB hosting space Digital Builder says: and php/MySQL Digital Builder says: costs $360/Month SomeGuy says: damn Digital Builder says: I may ask on pcworld if there would be anyone wanting to chip in for some of the space SomeGuy says: thats a fair chunk SomeGuy says: you earning heaps now? Digital Builder says: right now i pay $120 a month Digital Builder says: right now i make $120 from hosting Digital Builder says: or 120-150/month from hosting SomeGuy says: ok Digital Builder says: I could do supercheap rates SomeGuy says: might work Digital Builder says: PHP/MySQL with like 60MB for $15.00 Digital Builder says: 1/4 what iserve charges Digital Builder says: with maybe a $15.00 setup fee SomeGuy says: thats pretty decent Digital Builder says: I am going to post on PCworld now |

| 369531 | 2005-07-05 05:43:00 | From past experience invoices of less than $15.00 are hardly worth processing. I could make some code integrated in the inoice system to import from ASB Bank MS Money format.... if there was enough interest i could do it then maybe $7.50/Month + $15.00 Setup *if* there was enough interest. Thanks for replying :-) |

I suggest that you use that button in future before actually sending your postings. It's purpose is to let you see what you are doing before it becomes embarrassingly public. However important your message is to you, accidental inclusion of your chatroom discussions, and "[size= .." tokens is likely to attract derogatory comment. You have already encountered the unsympathetic natures of some people. |
