| 660730 | 2008-04-22 02:24:00 | If it was part of a botnet, theres no way they'd use his own e-mail address. Probably, like pancake said, someone got hold of his account for a bit. A change of passwords should (hopefully) do the trick... but virus scanning, ccleaning, HJTing, and a myriad of other things never hurt really. Might as well be sure. Anyway, GL. :) ( love this thing... :spam ) That is not what Pancake said. He said "spammers have got you mail address" It has nothing to do with compromised accounts or passwords. It is simply a spammer sending out emails with that persons email address in the From field. Happens frequently and nothing you can do about it except change your email address. |
