| 660478 | 2008-04-20 06:20:00 | What I do is this --- I take the "damaged Drive/ Missing data" set the jumper to slave ( if IDE or just attach if SATA ) on a workshop PC, that has LOTS of spare space that has the get Data back installed. Run Get data Back, it asks which drive to scan, select the damaged drive - then follow questions/ instructions through. With lots of data like you mention It may pay to leave it running over night, as it will usually take several hours. Once finished you can examine the "finds" and go through the folders, select what you want, then copy and put it on the Host PC/Drive, or if you have a removable drive attached select that as the destination. Just remember if you recover say 30Gb of data you need 30Gb + of spare room to put it  No kidding:D |
