| 370377 | 2005-07-08 07:33:00 | while gator/claria has been cleaning up its act no one with any sence would trust anything to do with them. they are an old outfit. there early ver stuff didn't have EULA's and they where often so badly programmed it used to crash pc's. any decent program would build the ad support into the program and not use a third party program. i don't know WHY people trust MS so much. do you really think MS are going to clean out there own spyware? or any other companies they have $$$ invested in ?? |

Of course not. Now that the index.dat files and Alexa are obsolete with regards to spying on us MS have had to find substitutes and how much better can they do than to get into bed with a couple of "legitimate" and "respectable" spyware companies? What I find interesting is that MS is going to keep their anti-spyware program free but will be charging for their AV program (www.ovum.com). I wonder why? ;) |
