Don't take it personally, sarel.
I got the same response from him when I drew attention to the "WMDH' spam (pressf1.co.nz) coming through lately.

I just thought that since I administer email accounts for about 300 users, it might have been useful to know that WDMH can be safely added to the spam filter & to advise any users that do get this crap, to just delete it.

Yes, we know it's all the same old scam; we're not that stupid. But many of our users are.

Someone needs a hug....

369767 2005-07-06 01:01:00 I agree peterj116 - but perhaps not a hug, I was thinking of something much more satisfying, crunching and bloody

LOL

If you spam filter based on static criteria like that you are bound to kill legitimate mail, and have a terribly crufty filtering setup.

369769 2005-07-07 00:45:00 If u dont want spam get spampal, which is free .

Configure it, make a rule in OE / Outlook / whatever u have, and then blacklist the whole isp thats sending u spam .

Then add the ppl u want into its whitelist, and the spams/isps in the blacklist .

Then you'll never seen spam again .

You'll then get email from ppl u know, and nothing else .
