The good news is that if you give up smoking before you contract the disease, within a year you're almost as unlikely to get it as someone who'd never smoked at all. |

That may be, but cancer is in competition with every other modern lifestyle disease out there and there are very few countries that are coping with the cost of medical care. Besides, the tax take does not lessen the economic opportunity loss, the personal suffering, and the dogpoo breath. |
