660713 2008-04-21 02:05:00 I am not a heavy user of the internet partly because I'm on dial-up and my wife often wants the phone. I'm stating to think broadband might be a good idea but at $10.00 a month for dial-up as much as I want; well???

For $27.00 plus tolls my ISP offers 70mb per day plus unlimited between 1800 and 2000. If I go over my daily allowance speed is reduced to dial-up until 0200 the next day. Is this a good deal.

660714 2008-04-21 02:09:00 Thats pretty good, its only around 2 gig a month, but you are only throttled as a result of going over your daily allowance, so thats pretty harmless.

What ISP?

660717 2008-04-21 06:46:00 You'll find once you've got broadband, you'll want more, surfing becomes a much more pleasurable experience ;) ; is a good starter plan tho. feersumendjinn (64)
660718 2008-04-21 22:11:00 It Is Actrix used to be Globe cybernerd (12461)
660719 2008-04-21 23:25:00 Been with Actrix for 2 years and they have been excellent . . . No complaints at all:thumbs:

Great helpdesk, quick replies, access to the management team who generally respond quickly to any questions I ask .

They have a free time option between 6pm and 8pm on my plan - not sure if it applies to all the cyberjet plans though, where you can download /upload as much as your connection speed will allow - and it doesn't come off your daily cap .

I can generally get a gig + down the line during those 2 hours .
