660627 2008-04-20 09:33:00 I've just installed this extension but it seems I have to go to Tools and scroll down to find Tinyurl before I can use it.

Maybe that's the way it works but is there a button I can place on the toolbar so it is a one click process?

I think I just right clicked and customized my toolbars and dragged it from there.

Sal - I asume you mean just keep Tinyurl open in a tab at all times. Simple enough.

No, the button circled in that screenshot is in my bookmarks bar, the tab bar is below it. Basically clicking that (a javascript bookmark or "favelet") will generate a tinyurl off the current page, similar to the add-on but without the add-on.
