| 660440 | 2008-04-19 21:39:00 | My next computer will probably have a Intel Core 2 Duo E8400, 3.00GHz CPU I don't play games so I might simply grab a motherboard with onboard graphics However I do intend to watch freeviewHD and blue-ray (eventually..), and since I won't have any hardware acceleration, will the CPU itself be powerful enough for decoding the video? I've read posts about people needing to buy 8500GT or similar to allow hardware acceleration, but no one really mentions the bare CPU requirements for watching eg. TV3 on freeviewHD without using hardware acceleration from a graphics card. |

| 660445 | 2008-04-20 05:03:00 | Well acutally, Blue ray has very steep system requirements to decode all that drm stuff. Go here www.cyberlink.com and download the program, it will scan your system to see if you can play blu ray disks. |
