2008-04-22 10:22:00 | that avast or avg isn't picking up without using HJT? Not mine, but theres someone on msn who has one, it keeps trying to send zip files, or MS-DOS files, she reckons HijackThis takes too long, she takes ages trying to find the files to remove so she wont use it, ive offered to do it for her using logmein but she doesn't trust that... Avast didnt pick up any viruses, so she uninstalled that and downloaded AVG and it picked up 11 trojans, but it still wont pick up this other virus that's trying to send to people on her msn contact list. uninstalling/reinstalling msn makes no difference... any ideas? the file names are different each time..

2008-04-22 10:32:00 | Why doesn't she post the HJT log here, and get advice on what to remove and what with? | Jen (38) | |
2008-04-22 10:43:00 | She doesn't trust it because it has her details on it... i've told her that it's safe etc but she thinks people can hack into her computer with it. | jnsbs (13656) | |
2008-04-22 10:47:00 | Well, not much we can do then if she wont post a log. Thats the only way we're going to find out if she's infected What are the names of these trojans AVG picked up??

2008-04-22 10:51:00 | she did uninstall avast, and got avg she had the latest version of avast as she only recently downloaded it..

2008-04-22 10:55:00 | one of the files is picture-101.zip | jnsbs (13656) | |
2008-04-22 10:56:00 | Tell her to get trojan remover then <- direct download (www.simplysup3.com) Install it update it, then click on scan. Then select all options under the utilities menu If that doesnt find anything, go to the file menu / scan a drive, highlight C, then click on start scan. It'll scan the whole hdd If trojan remover wont install in normal windows boot into safe mode and install it, if it works. Whatever it is, it shouldnt shut this down. As it changes its name, to avoid things shutting it down.
