372519 2005-07-16 02:33:00 A couple of years ago I purchased a belt to hold up my trousers, the
ones that don't have any holes in them, just a buckle that clamps hard against the belt to hold it in place, I thought they were great should last longer than the ones with holes in them that I used to buy, well I am not often right and I was positively wrong this time, after a year or so the buckle rusted and it lost it's ability to clamp the loose end of the belt making it useless.I went back to the shop were I got the belt from, not too complain, but to buy more of the same, got to hold my trousers up with something, and at the end of the day thought they were slightly better than the ones with holes in them. but sad story, the shop no longer sells them.

So I did a google search to see were I could buy a new one, to start with I put in "belt" before long it went to
" web belts -safety -shelter -industrial -car -working -timing -"web-site" -website -conveyor -conveyer "

Then gave up and I went down the road to a up market shop compared to the other one I normally go to for cheep things and they had them for $16.95

store.holelessbelt.com

Guess it wasn't google at fault after all.....

372521 2005-07-16 02:40:00 Hi Err. Imagine the response if you walked in to a store and stood before the assistant and just said "Belt". Certainly the way to search.......... Scouse (83)
372522 2005-07-16 02:45:00 Thanks Metla but now I have exceeded my weekly amount for this weeks spending.

I was hopeing to repay a little of my dentist fee I stuck on my credit card, but now it looks like I will have to try harder for next week.

---- more ----

I just went back useing your link and had a couple of goes, man some of those belt cost more than they are worth.

372523 2005-07-16 02:50:00 Yes I get your point Scouse

I took a sample belt with me, even so all they had to do was to point me the belt section if I did not take my sample with me,

I knew I would have to refine my search, by the time I had finished no results came up, at one stage there was 44,000.

372524 2005-07-16 02:51:00 Why didn't you just go to a $2 shop? If they haven't got belts (though I saw some yesterday) they will have string. :) Graham L (2)
