2005-07-11 09:50:00 | Hi guys Sheez I think I am brilliant. Installed broadband, changed over the connections in a phone jack to "live up" a line - everything worked first time. For a non-technical noob like myself this is quite an achievement. Now for the next bit - I need to network a two PC's together and I don't even know where to start. But not to worry, Google has never let me down so watch this space!!! sarel

2005-07-11 10:00:00 | Aw hell. First question - I am now with Xtra. Previously been with Clear. How do I forward my email from Clear to Xtra? And how do I add somebody to the Clear account - my daughter will be taking over the account (while dad pays for it - hmmmmmmmmf) sarel

2005-07-11 10:07:00 | Get your daughter to forward the Clear emails to your Xtra email . Easy It depends if Clear lets u add more than 1 user for emails . Some ISP's let u have up to 5 email addies . I would check Clear's homepage . It might have an option to add extra emails/users here . If it does, just think of a name and password . It might take up to 1/2 an hr for it to go through . So it can be used .

2005-07-11 11:05:00 | You can make message rules, if u use Outlook Express . (I dont use Outlook, or Clear) . So, if people who are in your address book, if they send u email, it'll be forwarded to another email addy (ie: Xtra, or whatever) . And a rule for all messages . (I would say this is what u would pick, if u want all received emails forwarded) . Its a bit late selecting this for emails, you've already received . BUT should work for future emails . Dunno about automatic forwarding . Unless u means rules . Altho, it'll be better to give people your Xtra email address, since emails that get forwarded to your Xtra email, will most probably keep a copy of the email on the Clear email/account . BUT if you're not worried about this, then the above should work .

2005-07-11 11:16:00 | Hi sarel, i used to have a clear account forwarded to an xtra account, you need to go into the web mail i think, and have password and name ready and find the option of forwarding, it wirks really well . no cost when i was doing it . Not sure specific wording / details as havnt checked it since before xmas but it worth a look . beetle

2005-07-12 23:33:00 | Thanks beetle for that. The problem is that I'm o so stupid, and I've looked everywhere but just can't find the forwarding button on the Clear webmail website. I also searched, checked their FAQ's, no help. (I told you I'm stupid, it was probably somewhere there but I probably missed it). Also, when I wanted to create a new email addy for the daughter, it seems to me that I have to "select to purchase" one of the internet options, and I am on flatrate, I don't want to get another account!!!! I am sure I am very stupid, and there is an easy answer to that. Anybody here got the easy answer? sarel
