2005-07-16 22:09:00 | How stupid of a comment! That's like saying the Yanks are 'just a skip across the water'! ... Hope not! Just for your sake techie, i wiil explain ;) ... I was using that as a figure of speech. I realise that it is likely to be a thousand kms away. I was writing while looking at the greater scheme of things...as in both countries are in asia and undoubtely share the same genes.

2005-07-17 02:44:00 | Taiwan, which is just a skip across the water from Thailand. uhh.... Thailand is quite a fair distance from Taiwan - over 2000km, and there's Laos, Vietnam and China in between.

2005-07-17 23:06:00 | dear god.... Why is everyone here so pedantic? Aussie is 1600kms away and we regard them as just next door! And speedy, if you found any previous comment racist you have severe insecurity issues! (and before you jump to conclusions I dont think my dig at you is racially prejudiced, although you may think so). Went to this post cos it seemed interesting, yet it seems like every post in this forum degenerates into some pathetic trivial argument!

2005-07-18 10:02:00 | Not sure... are Maoris indeginous to Taiwan? Then the Chinese came in and the Maoris intermarried and phased out? But then some Moaris canoed out of Thaiwan on the way to NZ and on the way the did some mixing with some pacific people? I dunno, but whouldn't NZ be an colony of China/ Taiwan?

2005-07-18 10:41:00 | I can't really recall back what I learned in Year 9 social studies class, but I remember somehow Maori language is very similar to Malay (national language of Malaysia, which is just south of Thailand) and Tagalog of The Phillipines. For example, number 2 in malay is called "dua" while in Maori it is said as "rua". I couldn't recall back any other numbers. The malay word for 1 - 10 is "satu", "dua", "tiga", "empat", "lima", "enam", "tujuh", "lapan", "sembilan" and "sepuluh". I hope I didn't confuse anyone. Before arriving in New Zealand, I never know of the presence of Maoris in NZ until I arrived at Auckland Airport. All I know is that there are a lot of whites (pakeha, which I was told later on) and sheeps. Back to the original topic, what's the minimum requirement to be qualified as a Microsoft Certified Professional? Why was it that you hardly see kids that young being qualified in developing and developed countries? Cheers :)
