So who will take responsibility for the cost of rehabilitating his 11 year old cracks? As for Capill, he's got a life sentence, he will never ever be safe again in his life, inside or outside. If I were in his shoes (and I thank all of the non-existent gods that I am not) I would give up showering until my sentence was completed. Capill will of course be put in "protection" rather than with the mainstream prisoners . The essentual difference here is that he will be with others who are in the same catagory . This only gives him minanmal protection as anyone who wants to get at him simply has to avoid advertising the fact they want him, and pretend to be afraid of the mainstream area, thus getting transferred to protection . New prisoners get the option of going strait to protection . He is going to get the **** kicked out of him . Its not a matter of "if" but how many times . If he appeared suicidal, and because it is his first time on a big lag, he is likely to be placed in DCU (Direct Care Unit, internally known as "Dum **** Unit) This is basicly the closest we see to psychiatric care short of a transer to Hillmorton (ex sunnyside) . DCU even has a round padded room for those who have completely lost the plot . He will almost certainly have a cellmate, who being in the protection wing will probably be as almost as scared as Capill has good reason to be . Others from the protection wing will take advantage of the understaffing our prison system currently has, and get to visit his cell . Again he will get hurt . KFs as they are known by do not have any safety anywhere in the jail system . I hear hes been a police prosecuter? Well how many friends do you think that will make him on the inside . He is more likely to get regular beatings than himself getting raped, Allthough prison rape does happen, it is not as common as people believe . Yes, he may be able to be out in 3 years . I suspect this wont happen though . Even if it was so i can assure you that Capills 3 years will be hell . O dear, how sad, never mind . :2cents: |
