I fixed my mother's new modem connection issues (the same as yours) this afternoon by uninstalling zone alarm (as I believed it was preventing access, as it was not opening properly - as she corrupted it somehow by trying to disable it - in my absence). Typing the ip address 10.1.1.1. then went through admin user name and password, etc. but did not work. So we used the installation disc for the modem (and reset it) which worked - i.e connected to her ISP via IE... Hmm cheers for that Kahawai chaser, ill try uninstalling it completly also. *fingers crossed!*	sBoff (13587)

661423	2008-04-23 09:50:00	With connection problems theres two things I do - Remove any and all firewalls, disable the Windows Firewall as well, See if the connection is stable without any security, once it is, then enable each item 1 at a time, that way if something screws up at least you know whats causing it. If you use a wireless connection disable the security on that as well for the time being till the connection problem is sorted - that should only take a few minutes, so having it down shouldn't be to much of a risk. And the second thing - restart the connection process from scratch. EDITED: just a thought - whats the Antivirus ?? If its Nod32 then the problem could be Nod and ZA not getting on - nod32 now detects something In ZA as a bug and promptly has been known to Kill ZA, ZA looks like its working but its not - hence look at top /first suggestion.	wainuitech (129)
