So, why should the maw be in operation to pick up the bulldozer? Or even be lowered to do so?Perhaps it's off to see the dentist to get it's teeth cleaned? personthingy (1670)

The first two photos are just to show you the scale of the beast, the third is at the working face where the bulldozer was snagged and the fourth is also at that site. Metla was probably right about the cause, it is unlikely that there would be any bulldozers at the bottom of the working face.

I had the opportunity to operate a similar but smaller machine like that once while working on a job. It was great fun! Brought out the little boy in me. :D

If you look at the far RHS of the first photo, there is another operator there who controls the spoil removal and has to drive their end in synchronism with the front half. A sort of slow motion "ballet of the leviathans".
