| 661902 | 2008-04-23 12:39:00 | Hey, i have a program here From Mcafee. Its Called site adviser, when ever you search anything with you fav search engine (google, yahoo, etc) It will come up with a Tick, Cross or !. Eg: Tick are safe sites.... Tick tick.JPG (www.imagef1.net.nz) (181 KB) Crosses and ! are bad... (scams, virus, etc) Cross and ! Cross_and_!.JPG (www.imagef1.net.nz) (162 KB) If you click on the Tick, Cross etc... it will open a site for Mcafee site adviser and show there ratings, virus test of dls and also reviews by other members of the public for that site you selected.. Like in the "is there anyway of getting rid of virus" post, zqwerty quoted a website to download a MSN Photo Virus Remover, which actually had a W32/Generic virus in it. Now zqwerty im not trying to put you down, because you did not know, and thats why im spending time to write this post. =) A example of this is.. is here... MSN Virus Removal. (www.siteadvisor.com) The website for site adviser is this... www.siteadvisor.com (thats for ff, but click "Would you prefer IE or a different browser?" if your not running ff) and it explanes everything i wrote here... Grrrrr.... It integrates well into Attached file: firefox (www.imagef1.net.nz) (153 KB) and also into Attached file: Internet Explorer (www.imagef1.net.nz) (166 KB) I dont know why these a$$Holes put these sorts of viruses and crud on there website but... we can stop people from going to them. =) Any questions just ask, Password :p |

It should not send out any personal search terms or personal info. the way i see it, it just sees the search results and loads the tick or cross.... I mean if it isnt for you then dont worry. I guess. | password (5384) | ||

Incredible! I tend to distrust McAfee anything . . . but even though they bought this test device a while back, they haven't messed with its original concept and McAfee-d it all to pieces like their hackneyed anti-stuff they sell . 4-Thumbs up! :clap :punk :drool:banana |

So long as it is up to date it would be fine . But how up to date can it be? This sort of thing changes so fast . And anyway my NOD32 warns me if I go to download stuff with viruses attached . |
