| 662751 | 2008-04-26 02:32:00 | I've got a friend running XP home basic on an Acer notebook. When she inserts a new USB device into one of the 4 ports the automatic installation wizard starts up, runs thru the install process and then curiously starts again. If you press "cancel" on the new window the installation doesn't work, however, if you allow the installation wizard to run three times in a row everything is fine. In a way this is not a "biggy" 'cos eventually everything works but does anyone know why it's happening? It's the first time I've come across it on any XP machine. |
