662433 2008-04-25 04:35:00 I am running Vista Home Premium with 2 GB, with two hard drives, one for programmes and one for data and junk of all sorts, etc... all is sweet.
Also running Office Suite 2003.
I want to trial Word 2007. Can you see any problems in loading Office Suite 2007 on to the second drive? Will this allow me to use 2003 or 2007 as I wish until I am happy with 2007? Thanks. ;)

662434 2008-04-25 04:49:00 Office 2003 and 2007 will run together on the same PC together. The difference is with outlook, you have to have either 2003 OR 2007, you cant have both. wainuitech (129)
662435 2008-04-25 05:01:00 Thanks Wainui. I have bought the Home and Student version of 2007 - don't use Outlook at all. What do you think of me putting 2007 on the second hard drive? Is that necessary? I just don't want to contaminate or cause any problems to the sweet-running 2003 and its many documents. Scouse (83)

It should be fine installing it onto your C: drive, as it puts the application files into a different folder.

662439 2008-04-25 09:03:00 Thank you folks. Was just a bit nervous there for a while. All done and both 2003 and 2007 are on call and available. Your interest is appreciated. Scouse (83)

You may have already installed the Word 2007 but, if not, take a warning from one who messed up - the installation process will give you an option of removing or retaining Word 2003. Make sure you select the option to retain the older programme.

This option wasn't obvious at all unless you click "Customize" during the installation. :annoyed:

Really? I got the option pretty clearly when I installed mine. Weird...
