662354 2008-04-25 01:27:00 does anyone know a good firewall for vista users?

662355 2008-04-25 01:34:00 Nothing wrong with the built in one as it is a true SPI firewall and is in/out based, but you will need to understand your networking needs in order to use it.

If you wont to have a look then run wf.msc as an administrator and take a look.

662359 2008-04-25 02:28:00 I wouldnt have a clue, even with XP it doesnt tell you if youre using the 32 or 64 bit version.

I dont know about 64 bit XP, I've got the cd, but never installed it

And I dont intend on getting Vista

It might say it on the CD cover / CD itself?

662360 2008-04-25 02:34:00 it didn't come with a cd, everything was already on it.
i'll just try downloading the 32 bit to start with...shouldnt do any harm should it?

Click the Start button (orb) and type "System", click "System" from the search results and in the System section there's a System type value which should say either 32-bit or 64-bit Operating System, I'd guess 32-bit.
