662008 2008-04-24 02:50:00 I am installing two 36GB Raptors in RAID 0 for the Vista 64bit o/s and four 500Gb Barracudas as storage.
Should I install just the Raptors, then the o/s then the storage later?

662009 2008-04-24 02:54:00 Knowing windows it's probably a sensible idea to install your boot drives first, and then connect the rest later Agent_24 (57)

Well, if you setup correctly, It wont matter, I would personally depending if you have XP SP! or 2 slipstreamed to your install media go with the RAID array 1st, SP to latest version yeah, sounds good!

662011 2008-04-24 03:47:00 I would never install an SP after installing windows if I can help it, would much rather prefer to slipstream if possible

You can download SP3 now anyway so that might be worth slipstreaming that first before you start

662012 2008-04-24 08:40:00 Anyone realise Glenn said he is going to be running Vista X64?

Makes no difference, as long as you tell the setup program the correct info it is fine... I have never had an issue with Windows screwing with any of my other HDDs during install that I did not specify.

With blank drives it should be fine, but if they have anything on them I prefer to disconnect just in case.

If they have other OS on them, it's pretty much a requirement or you will start having fun... or at least, that's what's always happened to me.
