372950 2005-07-18 02:03:00 I did it in porirua, the guy who failed me has a reputation of hating teenagers, ie out of the 20 or so people i know who have sat their test with him only 2 or 3 have passed first time....
he told me to turn into the side street before i made the first turn onto the main st, but the distance between turning onto the main st and then turning down the side st is only about 200m, and in that distance he somehow expected me to cross 2 lanes, after staying in the right hand lane for like 150-180m...

oh well can only hope to geta slightly better tester next time, and not make that smae mistake next time

372951 2005-07-18 04:20:00 yeah it depends who you get. i was reduced score by not over looking enof but still passed. the officer still open the buildings door to me when i came walked back in. i did mine in wellington city where LTSA building was at Cuba Mall, many yrs ago. I actually went a bit too fast thou not spending .. via the terrace tunnel and braked a bit later .. i was not marked down for that. at the end he was v nice to my mother as well ... lots of smiles and warm body language....

no parking either was asked for me. i parked the car by driving in, there were like heaps of free vacant slots beside the footpath. while i was walking in a student was asked to do parallel park, his instructor (which was mine when i dumped him and mum taught me), the instructor was pleading with the examining officer ... and opening door to him as he got back inside the building.......

you either know it or you don't.

ENJOY :)

Most people don't yet they still managed to get a licence (judging by the amount of idiots on the roads) so I wouldn't worry too much about it. Don't break the speed limit and you should be ok.

If the tester fails you, look at like this: He/she may actually be doing you (and everyone else on the road) a favour by failing you. You can't afford to make mistakes on the roads. People do all the time and many don't live to learn from their mistakes.
