there are about four big companies for internet.

all the others are cheap but they dont have the backup.

a big ISP will have dial in lines for 50% or more of the number of users.
some smaller companies have only 10% of the lines

and smaller companies have a small pipe out to the wiorld so you have a 56K connect but get speeds like it was a 9.6K connect.

P.S i am an aquantiance of hers thats why i am replying for her as she is unable to at the moment

Raider are backed by one of the biggest ISP's in the country, of course if you'd read the thread you'd know that.

373778 2005-09-11 03:45:00 I gave up on Slingshot a few weeks ago and signed up with Raider. I'm impressed thus far with their speed and no busy signals :)

Half the price of Slingshot too :D
