2005-07-17 11:04:00 | well i drive a '96 hyundai accent gls...in watermelon (the pink part of a watermelon not the green :p) so its a bit hard to speed in it, although it has a nasty habit of liking to ride at 60 rather then 50 so i have to constantly keep it in check, but apart from that.... thanks for all your support ill let you know how i got on in the morning ;)

2005-07-17 11:04:00 | Tell the tester if it aint a road rule to suck on it, Power hungry cretins. Too slow to acclerate my naked arse, and did anyone ever get a ticket for failing to look in the correct mirror at the correct angle every 15 seconds?

2005-07-17 11:57:00 | well a young fella phoned into a radio station and mentioned he was failed on his drivers test for driveing to slow. he was doing 30km/h on a metal road. he thought it was dangeroes to go any faster. the testing officer quite rightly failled him. driving so slow IS dangerous in an 100km aera. simply drive normall. if you fail, learn from the mistake and try again. while you might not get a ticket from failing to check the mirrors often enough, its one reason why i'm still alive today!

2005-07-17 13:22:00 | my advise would be to look at your mirrors heaps, and move your whole head when looking at mirrors. restricted testing people are really picky about using the clutch, dont ride it! and dont do those rolling stops at the traffic lights, ie put in the clutch and let the car roll to the intersections. other than that you should be fine, just relax :) good luck

2005-07-17 23:11:00 | well the driving tester failed me for "improper lane usage" apparently in a 200 metre stretch of road there is enough time to go 180m in the right hand lane, change to the left hand lane and then turn off on a side street, all with traffic around you... well thats what he seems to think... | lagbort (5041) | |
2005-07-18 00:10:00 | When did he tell you to turn into the side street? | PaulD (232) | |
2005-07-18 00:21:00 | and what did you do? drive in the right hand lane then do a left turn into a side street?? remember it for next time. get some more practice in before you go sit it again. don't forget city testers are picky as hell, which is not always a bad thing.

2005-07-18 00:39:00 | look at ur speedo every 2nd lampost or so, and check all your mirrors every other lampost. keep two hands on the steering wheel at all times, remember to give way particularly at an uncontrolled intersection where u want to turn right and they want to turn right out of the street, YOU MUST GIVE WAY TO THEM. otherweise its pretty sweet, use ur handbrake when you take off as rolling back will mean a fail. I left my handbrake on mistakenly while doing my three point turn and didnt realise till I went to lift it on the last part to prevent rollback...diddnt stall tho and still passed so its not too hard. infact I think the restricted test is too easy and teaches you crap all about how to drive but thats just MHO! | fatty (6649) | |
