| 662713 | 2008-04-26 07:42:00 | I'm sure bittorrent is pushing the majority of p2p traffic nowadays around, so for the general public I'd defintely go with BT, using software like uTorrent (www.utorrent.com/) and public trackers like mininova (http:) and The Pirate Bay (http://thepiratebay.org/). P2P purists I'd say however still prefer binary newsgroups and other private servers, which I guess isn't really P2P but fills this need nonetheless. DC was great when national traffic didn't contribute to bandwidth usage. |

Personally I stay away from LimeWire, it really is filled with too much junk but I suppose if you avoid those multiple files that are all the exact same file size but difference names and have random extensions, you can probably be alright. Limewire does offer great speeds compared to the others I have used, Ares is also good, but I don't use Ares for torrents, leave that to uTorrent since it works so efficiently with them. | Deathwish (143) | ||
