| 662684 | 2008-04-25 23:57:00 | Hey, i have a strange problem.... At random times, my screen goes white or white with zig zags across the screen and the only way it will go away is if i give it the old physical restart... I have a Dell Ultrasharp 15" and the specs of my pc is here, Amd Athlon 64 X2 4000+ Winfast 6100M2MA MB 1 Gb of ram. Onboard Vid/Graphics It can be at random times. This is a system built my a buisness in town with all brand new parts (excpet HD) Any ideas? And questions just ask and i will find out for ya. Mum is really really stressing out as we are not the richest =) ( Any donations accepted :clap) Thanks |

| 662689 | 2008-04-26 00:58:00 | yea, once when i unplugged the monitor when it happened, the screen went to the normal dell test thingy that it normally does, so im guessing its vid/g card.. | password (5384) | ||

| 662692 | 2008-04-26 03:45:00 | my olde compaq laptop does something like that, flickers then suddenly goes white, has something to do with the LCD panel connector. is the screen CRT or LCD? try it on another computer. white with zig zags (are they horizontal or vertical) could be the CRT going super bright, enough to see the retrace lines for the screen, if it does it all the time on any computer something is wrong with the monitor. |
