662247 2008-04-24 21:46:00 I have a cable, 1.8 m long, male connector at each end. The connectors look like VGA, but only have 11 pins. There is a label on it that says "I/F cable 3138 118 73410". I did a search on that number and all it turned up was an item on German Ebay that looked the same.

Any ideas?

662250 2008-04-24 23:03:00 it could be serial port cable that was present on sound cards, for joystick. gum digger (6100)
662251 2008-04-24 23:23:00 It is too substantial and has too many or too few pins for a serial cable. Aren't serial cables either 9 or 25 pins? Tony (4941)
662252 2008-04-25 00:48:00 A picture would help a lot.
VGA cables often do not have the full complement of 15 pins, as not all are used.

If this reference does not have it, then the cable does not exist :)

662253 2008-04-25 01:19:00 It is actually a vga cable. It certainly worked between my laptop and an external monitor. I suspected it was, but was put off by the number of pins. Clearly Terry, you are the man. Tony (4941)
